Raeanne Nuzzo is currently studying Graphic Design at the University of Connecticut, where she will graduate in Spring 2017.

I make art as a method to communicate beyond my own words. I enjoy using appropriated text and imagery as a way to ask an audience about their personal biases. I am interested in individuals' personal relationships with text and imagery, particularly as they relate to politics and religion.

This summer I will be completing a University of Connecticut IDEA Grant project titled Fear The Culture exploring the relationship between the language and imagery used to promote the culture of fear in American politics and media. Find more information about this project here.

Most recently I have begun a project titled This Is My Bible as a space to document how women are represented in Christianity and popular culture, stemming from my experience as a queer woman in a Catholic girls' school. Follow my process and contribute your thoughts here.
